Drive Fore Autism OKC began like any other beautiful day on the green: the scent of fresh cut grass and the sound of swinging clubs. Golfers filed into the Events Center at KickingBird Golf, ready to test their skills against the competition—and make a direct impact on our community in the process.
Before hitting the course, teams gathered over a delicious spread donated by Chuy’s while perusing the auction and raffle tables. Confident golfers put their arms to the test by purchasing raffle tickets by the wingspan, eagerly betting on which friend could stretch the furthest. Bidders eyed an incredible lineup of prizes, from a Napa Valley Wine Tour and a Riverwind Casino package to a BBQ grill setup and a YETI cooler packed with beer.
By the afternoon, the energy was high and everyone was ready to tee off! The joy across the course was inescapable—every swing brought a smile, whether it was a moment of proud success or playful disbelief. Teams cheered each other on, traded good-natured ribbing and enjoyed a stunning day out on the fairways.
When the play wrapped up, everyone gathered back in the events center, eager for the results. Raffle winners celebrated their wins, auction items found happy homes and the room buzzed with lively conversation. To cap off a perfect day, The Powers Pack—Brady Powers, Zac Weeks, Allen Timmons and Richard Abbott—took home the championship title!
From the bright AO signage along the fairways to the joyous laughter around the raffle tables, Drive Fore Autism was anything but a typical day on the course. But as teams packed up their gear and waved goodbye, the true heart of the event was impossible to miss. It isn’t just about the scorecards or the prizes—it’s the unmistakable feeling you carry home, knowing you helped build a more connected, supportive community for individuals on the spectrum.
