Autism, Resources, Parents, Oklahoma

Fuzzy is the animal program of AutismOklahoma with the goal of positive animal exposure experiences for children, youth and young adults with autism.

We believe that animals can be a communication bridge, as well as add to the quality of life for individuals and families. We are looking for volunteer leaders to manage exposure activities and animal visitation appointments at the OK Humane Society Adoption center. We also include “celebrity” dogs at autism events and social group meetings. We have dreams of providing pet matching, pet support services, pet treat cooking and toy making, and young adult internship opportunities to work with animals. If you have an interest in helping with one of these programs, please reach out! Our Celebrity Dog recently retired, so we are looking for a NEW celebrity dog to lead the way.  Also, we need a volunteer that is good with dogs to help us with dog visits for children that are afraid of dogs or pets.
